Happy Turkey Day!!

Although this year has had its ups and downs, we still have so much to be thankful for and I do not take any of that for granted. Thanksgiving was a lot of fun this year - a year makes a lot of difference for a toddler. Jameson was able to indulge in all the yummy foods this year!! We celebrated with the Weber family for lunch on Thanksgiving. Jameson loved Gma Kim's noodles and we discovered that he also likes black "ahh-behs" (olives). Once we were done eating, we took a walk down to see the house Pa Pa has been working on and then came back to Dan and Kim's for nap time. Of course, the little stinker wanted nothing to do with a nap. I failed miserable with trying to lay him down and then lay with him, so I had Kim try since she can usually get him to nap at her house. He wanted none of that either. So, I tried again..with some cartoons. Still failed. So, we had to pack up and leave a bit earlier than planned just so we could get him to take a nap! He stayed awake clear until we got about 2 minutes away from our house and then couldn't hang on anymore and succumbed to the sleep! That night, we ran to my parents' just to say hi for a bit and then just hung out as a little family and had an uneventful night.

Saturday evening was Thanksgiving with the Reed Family. Definitely a different tradition, but we usually try to squeeze everything in on one day and everyone is always full and tired. This worked perfectly. We were all ready for some turkey again and all very well rested!! Jameson and Braden of course had a blast playing together before and after dinner! Jameson loved Mom's dressing...just like his Mommy!! He didn't eat a lot of anything else...except Olives :). HOWEVER, once he saw the Pumpkin Pie and Whipped Cream, he was all about eating more! I am sure that had something to do with Ray and Braden having pie and Whipped Cream sans the pie!! The three of them were hilarious to watch! They also had some brownies...and an ice cream cone.

After dinner, Jameson and Braden got to fight for the wishbone! Jameson won - hope he wished for something good! I think he was pretty confused, but he still seemed proud of himself! After that, the sugar started to kick in and they were all running around like crazies and rather entertaining to watch! It was another great Thanksgiving in the books and I am really looking forward to Christmas now :). As always, I am so thankful for everything...especially my little turkey!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
