He smiled!!

Oh my heart is melting right now! I received my first real smile from Jameson today. Not a sleep smile or a gas smile...a real genuine smile while looking me straight in the eyes. It was the one of the greatest moments yet! Not real sure why I am so giddy about it, but it really did make me so happy. I have seen him semi-smile a few times and smile at Darin, but this was the first time it was just the two of us sharing a moment. Just had to get on here and document this special milestone!

And these have nothing to do with him smiling, but here are a few of my favorite pictures from his newborn session with Gloria Faith Photography. Guess they kind of go with the theme because they certainly melt my heart and make me smile!!

1 Month!!

I have always known that time goes fast. But, I swear that since having Jameson, it's going a thousand times faster. I am sure my parents can attest to that, as they sit here and watch their baby girl hold their grandson. Don't get me wrong, I am so excited to see him grow up and reach the various milestones. However, part of me just wants him to stay this small forever! This way I can keep him cozy and safe in my arms! OK, I know, I am ridiculous. But, is this really surprising? Nostalgic is my middle name! I mean, I am the girl who keeps Valentine's Day cards that her parents sent her in college just because they say "I love you! Love, Mom and Dad" on them!

Anyhow, I continue to cherish each moment, especially now that he is becoming so alert and likes to stare at me. I could look into those pretty little eyes for hours. And, there is nothing better than watching him follow my voice...I love that he knows his Mommy! Can't wait to see what the next month brings!
